CRITIQUE WORKSHOP SUBMISSIONS

| Before the conference, each student participating in the Critique Workshops will submit work to be critiqued during the workshop. |

Fiction writers may submit the first ten pages of a manuscript. Also submit a paragraph or one-page synopsis about the book. |

Non-fiction writers may submit the first ten pages of a nonfiction manuscript. Also submit a paragraph or one-page synopsis about the book. Or non-fiction writers may choose to submit an essay or narrative non-fiction article (10 pages or less). |

Screenwriters may submit the first ten pages of a feature script plus title page including author’s name. Also writers may submit a logline or a short film script no longer than ten pages. |
TO FULLY PARTICIPATE IN THE CRITIQUE WORKSHOPS, PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR REQUIRED MATERIALS VIA EMAIL AS ATTACHED FILES IN MS WORD FORMAT BY MIDNIGHT FRIDAY, JULY 6.

Your writing sample submission instructions will be provided with your registration confirmation.

Font: Something professional, like Times New Roman, 12 point |

Line Spacing: Double-spaced |

Paragraph Format: Left aligned text. No justified text |

Headers on each page: Writer’s name, manuscript title aligned top left. Page number, top right (except for page 1 which should have no number). |

Page one: Include writer’s name and contact information, aligned top left. Include total manuscript word count, top right. Title in all capital letters goes about halfway down the page, followed by: “by (author’s name).” |
