The art of writing is rewriting...or something like that. This year's UNF Writers Conference embraces the art of rewriting by focusing on critiques.
These personalized reviews and evaluations of your work will help you hone your skills, develop your craft and find the story that waits beneath the words on the page. You will receive a 30 to 45 minute critique from your workshop leader, as well as feedback from your fellow students. Additionally, a one-page written critique will be provided by the faculty member.

- Fiction writers may submit the first 10 pages of a double-spaced manuscript. Also, submit a paragraph or one-page synopsis about the book.
- Non-fiction writers may submit the first 10 pages of a double-spaced manuscript. Also, submit a paragraph or one-page synopsis about the book. Non-fiction writers may also choose to submit an essay or narrative non-fiction article (10 pages or less).
- Screenwriters may submit the first 10 pages of a feature script plus a title page, including author’s name. Also, screenwriters may submit a logline or a short film script no longer than 10 pages.
To fully participate in the critique workshops, your writing sample must be submitted by Friday, July 6. Writing submission instructions will be provided with your registration confirmation. More details to come.
