Many writers' conferences offer access to a few book agents, literary agents, book editors and/or film producers invited to the conference to take pitches from writers.
The 2012 UNF Writers Conference provides access to many carefully selected agents, editors and producers through the Writers Pitch Book. After the conference, all attendees are invited to submit pitches to be included in the PITCH BOOK.
All agents, editors and producers receiving the Writers Pitch Book have agreed to accept written pitch/logline submissions and no pitches will be unsolicited.
Professionals receiving the Writers Pitch Book represent work of, or buy work from, fiction and non-fiction writers and screenwriters.
This is a unique opportunity for conference attendees to pitch their work in the form of a written pitch or logline. Writers will have until August 31, 2012, to refine their pitches/loglines and make submissions in the requested format.
Each attendee may submit written pitches/loglines in three categories: Fiction, Non-Fiction or Screenwriting. There is a $25 fee for each pitch submitted by anyone attending the full conference. This is a 50% discount off the regular rate of $50 for writers not attending the conference. For attendees of the the Indie Author Seminar on Sunday (August 5, 2012), there is a fee of $40 for each pitch submitted. That’s a saving of $10 per pitch off the regular $50 rate for writers not attending the conference.
August 31, 2012, is the deadline for your written pitch or pitches to be submitted.
No pitches will be accepted after midnight August 31, 2012. The conference director will compile written pitches/loglines into the Writers Pitch Book and send it to book and screenplay agents, book editors and film producers. We encourage you to copyright your pitches.
